ACT I
旁白：Jesse and Susie are lovers who have loved each other for 2 years Just because they have each other, their life became more wonderful（从门进来，女挽男手，边走边说，很幸福的样子）
S：darling，my parents have known our relationship, so they want to see you
J: OK The ugly son-in-law will have to see his parents-in-law in the end We go back on Labor Day How do you think

苏珊拨电话(两人边打电话边往门外走，退场)

S:What
苏珊在心里想着他是不是想给我什么惊喜呢。求婚？
J：(慢慢地说)Susie, we…e I’m sorry I want to break up It’s over （哽咽一下）After spending such a long time in finding a job, I really realize that what your mother said is right,（有点自卑地，感觉对不起女友） I can’t give you happiness I have no money to buy a house, have no money to buy good clothes for you, I…you are too good for me…you deserve a better man to give you happiness…
S:(傻笑着)Jesse, you can’t make such kind of joke with me!
J：Susie，I’m serious, it isn’t a joke we should break up（有哽咽地停顿，吞一下口水，再接着说的感觉）
S:（大哭）can you give me a reason
J: sorry, no reason Goodbye（慢慢地挂电话，慢慢地把电话从耳边拿下来，眼睛随着电话往下，作伤心状）
电话挂断了，两个人都握着电话哭了
ACT IV
旁白：Three years have passed, Jesse goes to Susie’s home again
杰西敲门
Mr Carter:(开门、惊讶的)oh, why do you come here Is there anything wrong
J:I want to see Susie, is she at home now（解释状）
Mr: Haven’t you broken up
J: uncle, can you let Susie out I want to say something with her
Mr:(无奈的)okSusie…(站在门口叫)Jesse comes…
S（冷漠的）why do you come here
J:I am here for you Shall we go out to have a talk（两人走）
苏珊不由自主地答应了，两人来到公园里。

J:I hope we can go back to the previous day (突然很兴奋地，对未来充满憧憬)Now, I have my own company I think I can give you a happy life
S:（激动地）Happiness! Do you know the essence of happiness (停顿一会) Jesse, you can go now Like what you said before, we are over You should understand that you miss something and it will be a miss forever （J在S说话时，由原先的兴奋状慢慢冷下来，转为僵硬尴尬）

ACT V
旁白：Jesse was sad about this And he told this to his younger brother who is called Bob After hearing this news,Bob was of great anger He took his brother’s mobile phone secretly Then he gave a call to Susie
B:Susie,how can you be so heartless His current position doesn’t come easy All he did is for you! But now you say you can’t accept him! What are you thinking! He works day and night…（被苏茜打断）
S: Stop! I don’t want to listen it You aren’t me, so you can’t understand my thought Three years ago,your brother broke up with me for no reason Though I’m sorrowful,he escaped from my world suddenly Now that he had loosened my hands,I won’t be together with him any more Like what I said to your bother,miss is the forever miss! Sorry, I’m tired,goodbye
B:（嘟嘟声，握着电话，若有所思的重复）miss is the forever miss

旁白：Happiness is not about being immortal nor having food or rights in one's hand It's about having each tiny wish come true, or having something to eat when you are hungry or having someone's love when you need love
If you love a girl,it’s better to fight for her happiness than to abandon her for the sake of her happiness
