后来，由于英格兰足总重修温布利大球场，温布尔顿队没有了主场。一般情况下，英格兰球队没有主场回去自己同城兄弟的主场踢球，比如曼联曾经租用过缅因路，曼城也曾经在老特拉福德当主场。或者启用备用体育场。温布尔顿可能人缘太次，又没有备用球场，只好迁出伦敦。这一举措遭到球迷反对，温布尔顿也正式更名MK DONE队。
