5、妇女求爱日(英国)。每逢闰年的2月29日是英国女性的“求爱日”。在这一天,女性有权摆脱世俗的清规戒律,大胆地向自己犹豫不决的情人求爱,而在这一天拒绝女性求爱的男性,则需支付1英镑,作为象征性的“赎免”,或者以绸缎衣服赠给“伤心的女方”。从十七世纪开始,这个风俗习惯广泛流传并普及整个欧洲。英国某电视台的气象女播报员曾当着全国观众的面向在场的摄影师求婚,最终“抱得帅哥归“。
