英语语法：engage , encounter 和 confront 都有“面对，遭遇”的意思，其区别是？

前者应该是勇敢面对的意思,也有对抗和当面对证的意思,一般都用面对这个意思如confront with sth ------- 面对而后者是遇见,遭遇的意思,如encounter sb/sth--------- 遇见某人/遭遇到不幸啊~
