罗百吉在给自己出专辑的时候，他还同时给其它歌手做音乐，从１９９４年开始，他出专辑的速度一直是每年一张，令记者奇怪的是，从１９９６年到１９９９年这三年间，他却一张专辑没出。说起这三年，罗百吉说，这三年里，他正在那段不愉快的婚姻里挣扎。妻子也是音乐圈子里的人，是一名音乐制作人，由于性格不合，他们常常为理财意见不一致而争吵，三年的婚姻生活，吵架是他们之间的家常便饭，后来出现了严重的经济纠纷，这期间他没有心情也没有时间出专辑，最后他们不得不在１９９８年分手。如今一说起婚姻，今年才三十岁的罗百吉简直象个受过伤害的大男孩儿。他说，非常害怕再婚，离婚后，他一直幻想要在沙漠里买一座房子，一个人住在那里。离婚后，他经常回美国与父母团聚，每次坐飞机路过拉斯维加斯大沙漠的时候，都会有这种不现实的想法从脑海中冒出来。别看罗百吉是中国人，但他毕竟是在美国出生并在美国长大，由于他从小养成的饮食习惯——爱吃炸鸡汉煲，近两年，这种饮食习惯终于产生了不良影响，他实然间发胖了，这也对他的演唱事业带来了无奈的影响。好在罗百吉在音乐方面是个全才。
