学校里学习的“春节”的用法,一直是Spring Festival。但实际上在表达“春节快乐”的时候,一般看到的或者在使用的大多是是“Happy Chinese New Year!”,而鲜少使用“Happy Spring Festival!”这样子的翻译。
至于是Lunar new year,还是Chinese new year,这两个是本质上的差别。
lunar calendar是阴历的意思,世界上除了中国也有很多的国家在使用阴历,在过他们文化上的“阴历新年”。所以,如果仅仅只是说“Lunar new year”,并不能表达是指中国春节,因为可能指代了全球范围内任何一个还在使用阴历,并在庆祝“阴历新年”的国家。
