marry既可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词，意为结婚、嫁、娶，与……结婚等。

"marry to"一般用作被动式语句，使用方式为：be/get married to sb，意为与某人结婚。

"marry with"一般没有这种用法，表达是错误的。

marry，读音：英[ˈmæri] ，美[ˈmæri] ，做及物动词时候常见用法有三个，具体如下。

一、marry sb表示嫁给某人；与……结婚。

例如：John married lily last week上星期约翰和丽丽结婚了。

二、词组be/get married to sb，表示与某人结婚。

例如：She was married to a doctor last year去年她和一位医生结婚了。

Annie got married to a doctor安妮和一个医生结婚了。

三、marry sb to sb，表示父母把女儿嫁给某人或父母为儿子娶媳妇。

例如：The mother married her daughter to a businessman妈妈把女儿嫁给了一位商人。

四、marry作不及物动词时，往往用副词或介词短语来修饰。

例如：She married very early她很早就结婚了。

五、marry 一般不与介词with 连用。例如：她和一位英国人结了婚。

误：She married with an Englishman

正：She married an Englishman

正：She was / got married to an Englishman

六、若问某某是否结婚，而不涉及结婚的对象，可用be / get married的形式，相当于系表结构例如：你结婚了吗

误：Do you marry/ Have you married

正：Are you married/ Have you got married？

上面的都不对，Marry是指结婚的动作，是不可延续动词，不能用have been。

正确的说法是

I heard you were married / Are you married？

They got married 15 years ago

(其实在英语中没什么特别的意思就是问问而已,
