塔拉庄园的千金**思嘉爱上了另一庄园主的儿子艾希利，他常陪伴她去参加舞会，野餐会等，她直觉上认为他也爱着她，并深信着他迟早会向她求婚。虽然她有时不能理解他的超脱淡漠，但恰恰是那神秘莫测的性格，引起了单纯直率的她的好奇心，她想要得到他。

在爱情上，她执著而热烈。兜兜转转，终于明白了自己爱的是谁。

当听到艾希礼和她表妹媚兰的婚事时，16岁的她勇气倍增地安排了一个计划。她直言不讳地告诉艾希利“我爱你”，艾希利理智地告诉她，喜欢她对生活充满激情，像狂野的自然力量，但单凭爱情是不能使婚姻美满的。他喜欢音乐，书本，诗歌，这些对她来说不感兴趣，而媚兰能跟他情投意合。

思嘉出于妒恨，利用自己极富魅力的外表与媚兰的弟弟查尔斯调情，并以无比匆忙的速度嫁给了他。不久之后，美国南北战争爆发了，查尔斯和艾希利都作为征兵上了前线，查尔斯寄来一封封充满热爱与狂喜的信，并立志要成为一个英雄，但很快就死于肺炎和麻疹，毫无光彩地离开了人世。

思嘉的儿子诞生了，身体恢复得很快，精神却处于恍惚迷离之中。这一切就像是一场梦魇，她内心仍然热恋着艾希利。她参加了义卖会，这对一个居丧的寡妇来说，公开参加社会活动，是闻所未闻的。大家都认为她应该安分守己，听天由命。在舞会上，白瑞德船长邀请她跳舞，她不怕众人异样的眼光，抛弃那些传统的规矩，在人群中快活地与他共舞。

艾希利回来时，思嘉再次向他表明了爱意，但遭到了拒绝。他要思嘉答应照顾媚兰，她只好同意。四年后，战争结束，思嘉想要和他一起逃走，艾希利爱她的勇敢、顽强、火一般的热烈，而对于诺言、情谊、忠诚、荣誉等，他要看重得多。她为自己的那片痴心妄想破灭而哭泣。

她结了三次婚，第一次是赌气。第二次是为了钱，为了要重振家业，引诱本来要娶妹妹的弗兰克，以最快速度和他结了婚。第三次是和一直追求她的白瑞德，但在艾希利的生日会上，思嘉和艾希利的热情拥抱引起了旁人的非议。

最终，她明白了她爱上的只是那个并不存在的理想人物艾希利，明白了真真实实的白瑞德，才是她真正的归宿。可是，白瑞德不再相信她，对她的爱随着女儿意外坠马摔死而耗尽。思嘉没有气馁，她不知道什么叫做失败，相信她明天一定有办法让他回来。

或许，年少时，我们都曾用心地去爱过一个人，认为那是自己的真命天子，得不到的总认为是最珍贵的。殊不知，到头来，爱上的只是一个虚幻中的人。而那个真正理解你，愿意陪伴你度过悠悠岁月的人，已经润物细无声地潜入了你的心里，只是多年后才会恍然大悟，原来你在不知不觉间也爱上了他。

在生活上，她勇敢奋争，不怕艰难，永远充满着斗志。

在战争时期，北佬要打过来了，不少人都惊惶地逃离家园，毫无接生经验的思嘉，在紧急关头为媚兰接生。媚兰生完孩子后，在白瑞德的护送下，他们回到塔拉庄园。途中，白瑞德告诉思嘉他不能目睹南方军溃败而不去助一臂之力，他要参加作战，留下一把枪，和思嘉告别。

思嘉只能独自勇敢地驾驶马车回家。可是曾经的家园，已经面目全非，被洗劫一空。母亲死去，父亲一蹶不振。塔拉像一座荒岛，一片寂静。她决心要体面地活着，绝不能饿死。她看到一名北佬闯入了房子，直到走进厨房。这时，她的恐惧已经消散。她拿起白瑞德给她留下的枪，一枪就杀死了北佬。

战争结束后，生活依然困苦。为了衣物，为了钱，拼死拼活，拔草锄地，种棉花。除了塔拉这片红土地，她已经一无所有。但是生活再艰难也要继续，北方来的统治者要庄园主缴纳三百块重税，而她手里只有十块钱，思嘉打扮了一番去找白瑞德，想要嫁给他，那样就无需为钱发愁，塔拉将守如磐石。

而此时的白瑞德已经被关进监狱，看到那双布满茧的双手，识破了思嘉的诡计。思嘉并没有绝望，又骗取了弗兰克与自己结婚。但因弗兰克身患流行性感冒而久拖不愈，思嘉决定去店铺看看情况，她有着精明的经商头脑，买下了锯木厂亲自经营。在生意上，怀着孩子的她一点也不示弱，反而做得风风火火。

在某些方面，她的一些做法并不值得我们推崇，比方说生意场上的非法雇用囚犯，以及为了赌气或钱财去骗取其他男性。但不可否认的是，她身上有一股不服输的精神，即使在最灰暗的时期，也不会放弃，相信希望的曙光就在前方，相信“Tomorrow is another day ”

在这部小说中，还有一位值得赞叹的佳人是媚兰。 如果说思嘉像一朵带刺的玫瑰，热情而活泼。那么媚兰就像一朵出淤泥而不染的莲花，纯洁而温柔。 她虽然外表文弱，但内心刚强。在北佬闯进塔拉庄园时，她不顾虚弱的身体拿着军刀出现，一种钦佩和志同道合的感情在思嘉心中油然而生。媚兰机智地去掏他口袋里的东西，并冷静地处理杀人现场。

在思嘉经营锯木厂时，她的许多行为受到了众人的非议，媚兰知道后，帮她反驳，保护她的名声。思嘉从最初的讨厌她，到渐渐与她建立了深厚的友情。思嘉虽然是她的照顾者，而媚兰实际上才是思嘉的精神支柱，一直坚定地陪伴在她身边。

善良的媚兰，尽管每次看到死亡名单上没有艾希利的名字而高兴，但战争是残酷的，看到那么多伤亡人员，她内心是很悲伤的，并主动加入护士行列去照顾伤兵。聪明的她，何尝不会感觉到丈夫艾希利和思嘉的微妙关系呢？但她选择的是信任以及包容，她极力地保护着自己所爱的每一个人。

从媚兰的身上，我们看到了人性的许多美好。就算这个世界有着肮脏污浊的一面，我们依然要选择相信真善美的存在。小说以“明天又是新的一天”这个开放式的悬念而结束。《飘》这个标题，暗示着一切都会随风飘逝。但不管怎样，假如生活并不如你所愿，依然要面带微笑，期待美好。

曾经，一曲《彩虹天堂》，让我第一次感觉到心酸，刘耕宏具有磁性的声音，穿透了所有人的心，只要听一次，就能感觉到他的快乐与忧愁，他唱出了爱情的心酸与悲痛，唱出了自身的矛盾与无奈。或许这并不是最好听的歌曲，但这绝对是最感人的歌曲。

因为世间有太多不能如愿的爱情，太多不能完成的使命，但小小的愿望就是“你能一直陪在我身旁~！”

这是我听过最能感动我的歌曲，它能让你陪它一起流泪，陪它一起悲伤，或许这就是歌曲本身的含义吧~！
