1、插桃枝

是越南春节的一个重要习俗。临近春节之际，越南家庭都会到超市中去购买大株桃枝，带回家后插在门口或者客厅以作为春节期间的家庭装饰。

桃枝寓意驱鬼驱邪，在中国古代即盛行以桃木剑作为驱邪的法宝，时至今日插桃枝已经不再为中国春节的习俗，被贴门神辟邪所取代，但越南依旧很好的保留了中国古代的传统习俗。除却插桃树枝之外，金橘枝也是要常备的，寓意财源滚滚，吉祥如意。

2、祭祖

越南春节还有一项重要的习俗即扫墓，在春节前扫墓寓意请祖先回家过年，早在成书于14世纪的《安南志略》中便有民间在元旦“杯盘祀祖”的记载，越南在年底扫墓，与中国在清明扫墓不同。在越南清明节并没有被当做节日记载，仅仅是附录于寒食节之后。

有学者研究，越南之所以没有按中原王朝清明祭祀祖先的习俗办事，和其所处气候环境有很大关系。越南地处亚热带，春节干热风大，极易着火，而年底刚过雨季，草木旺盛，将其根部拔出后可以防止杂草侵扰墓地。

3、采禄亦

是越南春节十分重要的习俗，采禄实为采“绿”，因二字在越南发音相同，故采绿被称为采禄。采绿叶的习俗就是要把折下的带有绿叶的树枝带回家。

在中国古代，采绿是人民的一项重要活动，后传至越南。但在今日中国大部分地区已经没有了采绿的习俗，但越南一直保留至今。因绿与禄谐音，故采绿寓意为在新的一年官运亨通、万事如意，所以除夕采绿叶十分重要。

1、越南婚俗

在越南北部蛮族的一些部落中，结婚时有一种让旧情人先占“初夜”的“谢恩”婚俗。一个新娘在婚前，往往有旧的情郎。如果确定与一个人订婚，就要同其他情人断绝关系。按传统习俗，新婚之夜新娘并不住在新郎的洞房里，而是去找旧情人共枕最后一夜，以示“谢恩”。

2、越南端午节

越南的端午节是越历五月初五，又称正阳节。端午节有食粽子的习俗，还有端午驱虫习俗。节日清晨，父母为子女准备糯米酒酿、黄姜糯米饭及桃、李、柠檬等几种酸味食品和水果。

南方一些地区让子女食西瓜、芒果、煮鸡蛋和饮椰汁，大人饮雄黄酒，并将雄黄涂在小孩头、额、胸、脐各处以逐虫。端午采药是一项必不可少的活动，人们认为“端午草药”最为灵验，许多集市上有此药专卖摊。

订婚到女家、拍婚纱、结婚。他们结婚一般都有专门的做这一块生意的人给搭结婚彩棚，有的家里条件不允许的就在酒店摆酒席，第一天在女方家里，开始是在神台前男女双方互相给对方戴戒指，双方父母亲人赠送礼物给新人（一般为金戒指，金手镯，靳向链，金耳环），酒席录像，酒席中会请婚庆主持人，还有就是酒席的场地有一个舞台，亲朋好友在上面唱歌（这是比较有特色的）。第二天在男方家里，其他基本一样。

在越南北部山区居住的娄娄族(Lo Lo)，青年男女示爱的方式颇为特别，他们用线把竹筒穿起来做成扩音器，男孩子通过自制扩音器向他爱慕的女孩传达信息，他说：“我非常爱你，我将向你敞开我的心扉。如果你也爱我，我就把你带回家做我的妻子。”如果女孩也对男孩有意，她就回答：“你难道不知道我已经爱上你很久了吗但是，你要记住，你的爱不应该仅仅表现为甜言蜜语。”这样男孩就明白那个女孩已经同意了他的求婚，他就准备迎娶这位姑娘了。过一些时候，男女双方私下计划，女孩先从自己的家里溜出来，让一群年轻的小伙子把姑娘“绑架”到男孩子家中。男方抢到姑娘以后，男方要杀猪设宴，庆祝抢亲成功。第二天通知新娘家里，第三天托媒人前往说亲。

新人必须在太阳下山前圆房，否则不吉利。更有意思的是，在越南北部一些村落，姑娘要在新婚前夜找旧恋人共度最后一晚，作为对过去的告别。这种做法是被当地人的道德观所接受的。此后两人再不来往，女方要完全忠于丈夫。

越南实行6天工作制，所以婚礼大多定在周日举行。与中国的大圆桌不同，婚宴使用长条形桌子，每张桌子围坐6位宾客，一共30桌。

婚宴菜肴以冷盘为主，这与炒菜为主的中国婚宴差别很大。此外，越南人吃各种菜都喜欢沾着碾碎的花生米，甚至连吃水果也如此，他们认为这样味道最佳。席间上来一道点心，四四方方，上面点缀各种蜜饯丝，呈半透明状，香味奇特，甜糯适中。

服饰古代时，越南的京族人穿各种套头的衣服和长裙。到了中世纪，平民穿褐色布衣，官吏穿蓝葛衣。到了15世纪后，富者通常穿锦罗沙葛，参加祭祀和宴会时穿红袍，吏役穿褐色或黑色布衣，官吏们穿青色衣，平民百姓穿赭色粗布衣。法国人进入越南后，平民的衣着开始有了较大变化，妇女穿结纽上衣和裤子。进入现代，越南城市的男子多穿西装，妇女穿花色窄袖长袍。越南妇女的长袍可以说是越南女子的国服，上身束腰，突出身段，使女子显得婀娜多姿，下摆舒展，开衩至腰际，活动方便。特别讲究的是，越南妇女穿长袍时，还穿一条黑色或白色的宽腿拖地长裤。越南妇女喜戴项链、手镯、戒指，多留披肩长发，或用发夹束于脑后。

嚼槟榔与牙之美越南的京人、岱人、泰人、埃迪人都有一种嚼食槟榔的特殊爱好。嚼槟榔通常是先苦后甜，可刺激神经，提神醒脑，除积消肿。京人还把槟榔当作信物，无论求婚、请客，均送上一槟榔。嚼槟榔、染牙是京族的古风，过去男男女女只要到了十七八岁就开始染牙。按照他们的习俗，开嚼槟榔、染牙，便象征已经成年可以成亲了。

重要节庆越南也使用阳历与阴历，除了国家法定的节日如元旦、国际劳动节、国庆节等外，越南也过清明节、端午节、中元节、中秋节、重阳节、春节等。越南有一句民谣“肥肉姜葱红对联，幡旗爆竹大粽粑”。在新年与旧年交接之时，越南人也有守岁的习惯。

越南人也过灶君节。灶君也称为“灶神”（灶王爷），他的任务是客观地记录下这个家庭所发生的事。每年腊月二十三是灶君节。中秋节是越南人较为重视的节日。中秋节的晚上，越南人除了吃了月饼、赏月、观花灯、舞狮子外，在农村，青年男女还举行对歌，越南人称为“唱军鼓调”。

祖先崇拜越南人注重孝道，在第一个家庭中，子女孝敬祖父母和父母是不可缺少的的意识。越南人每家每户都设有神龛、神台、神位，是敬奉祖先的祭坛，是敬奉祖先神的圣地，任何人不可触犯，也不能有任何污秽。越南人视祭祀供奉祖先为重大之事，用以感激祖先的养育之恩。越南人对祖先的崇拜还表现在忌名上。
