信天游:山歌的一种,也称”顺天游“。信天游因其形式简便,旋律优美,劳动人民在山野间可自由的即兴编唱,歌唱信天而游,飞传四方,人们便称之为”信天游“。主要流行在陕北和甘肃,宁夏的东部地区,以爱情题材为多。表现了劳动人民对反动统治的控诉、反抗,和他们美好的愿望以及对幸福的憧憬。是当地人民最喜爱的一种艺术形式。有“信天游,不断头,断了头,穷苦人就无法解忧愁”之说。歌词是两句一段,每首段数不定,可一段,也可十数段。每句七字,也可多至十一字。无固定韵律,在段数较多时,可随时换韵。语言简练,生动。感情淳朴,真挚。曲调约有四、五十种。结构短小,由两个乐句构成,上下呼应。节奏较自由,声音高亢,奔放,悠扬,动听。艺术手法上多用比兴,托物言志,借景抒情,曲调优美,琅琅上口。但在不同地区,风格略有差异。神木,府谷一带的信天游与山西的山曲,内蒙的爬山调互为影响,风格相近。定边,靖边与盐池,华池等地的信天游则多在大跳,在音调上与甘,宁花儿有一定联系。绥德、米脂、佳县的信天游则另具一格,是陕北信天游的代表。
