分后卫（Shooting Guard）在篮球场上是以得分为主要任务的司职。

一个得分后卫经常要做的有两件事，第一是有很好的持球单打能力，或是作为一个极为稳定的接球跳投手。因此不管是外线准投和突破上篮的稳定性一定要好；第二则是要在缝隙中找出空档来投外线，所以他出手的速度要快。

3、小前锋（SF--Small Forward）

小前锋（Small Forward）乃是球队中最重要的得分者。所谓的小前锋，最根本的要求就是要能得分，而且是较远距离的得分。小前锋一接到球，第一个想到的就是要如何把球往篮子里塞。他可能会抓篮板，但并不必要；他可能很会传球，但也不必要；他可能弹性很好，但仍不必要；他可能防守极佳，但还是不必要。

中锋（Center），顾名思义乃是一个球队的中心人物。 篮球比赛阵容中的一个位置；一般都由队中最高的球员担任，传统上强调篮下的防守，以及防守篮板球的保护。
