当下唯一取回钻石的方法就是混入警局里去，麦尔斯苦思许多旁门左道，却一直不得其门而入。於是，他决定采取最终极的招式一假扮警察蒙混进去。麦尔斯万万没想到，由於对於犯罪招数如数家珍，阴错阳差地，他居然成为警局里的最风光的警探，带领着菜鸟伙伴(卢克威尔逊饰)，一路冲锋陷阵，又是飞车追逐，又是枪林弹雨，将罪犯一网打尽。麦尔斯一路从昔日的罪犯摇身变成今日的英雄。
