摘要：这个500个英语谚语是比较常见的谚语，不过中文的翻译多数都比较牵强，只能作为参考，对谚语感兴趣的同志建议买一本专门的谚语词典。我手头的《简明英语谚语词典)(A CONCISE DICTIONARY OF ENGLISH PROVERBS)》－上海译文出版社1993年出版，陈文伯、戴晨编－共收集1200条左右的谚语，解释比较详细，而且有例句，建议收藏一本，备不时之需。
