选取任用贤才
[选举]详细解释古代指选拔举用贤能。自 隋 以后,分为二途:举士属礼部,包括考试与学校;举官属吏部,掌管铨选与考绩。正史自新、旧《唐书》以下至《明史》皆有《选举志》。
《文子·上义》:“仁义足以怀天下之民,事业足以当天下之急,选举足以得贤士之心,谋虑足以决轻重之权,此上义之道也。”《北史·牛弘传》:“ 弘 在吏部,先德行后文才,务在审慎…… 隋 之选举,于斯为最,时论服 弘 识度之远。” 宋 苏轼 《省试宗室策问》:“先帝独见远览,恩义并用,增修教养之法,肇开选举之路,盖十有余年矣。” 严复 《原强》:“欲讲实学,非易立选举之法则,开用人之涂,而废八股、试帖、策论诸制科不可。” 章炳麟 《訄书·官统下》:“ 梅福 有言:不循伯者之道,欲以 三代 选举之法,取当时之士,犹察 伯乐 之图,求骐骥于市也。”
用投票或举手等表决方式选出代表或负责人。
