什么是DWT?

DWT是DEADWEIGHTTONNAGE的缩写，是表示“载重吨”。

计算方式为：该船舶的“最大排水量”（MDT)减去“船舶自重”(LDT)；       

有人会误以为载重吨位就是该船能装多少货物的重量，其实DWT“载重吨”与该船舶的实际载货量是有很大区别的，因为DWT还包括该船舶所载油（燃油，润滑油）和水（饮用和生活用水），船员及物品等的重量。

比如说，一艏DWT为7000吨的散货船，大概的载货吨位只有6000-6500左右；如果是冷藏船或捕捞船等，则实际载货吨位要小的多。工程船舶和特种船舶则载货吨位小的几乎可以或略。

我们一般所说的XXXX吨的船舶，指的也是载重吨位（DWT)，而并非载货吨位。
