英语里什么时候用to，什么时候用for

这个情况太多了

我先想几个常见的

首先是固定搭配：buy sth for sb;provide sth for sb；It's adj for sb to do sth

give sth to sb;offer sth to sb;send sth to sb

这个感觉真的没什么规律 一般来说，for是为了，有一些情感付出在里面，to只表示方向 当然了例外情况也不少，你还是说得具体一点吧

一、too前面含有表示否定意义的词，如：not、never、nothing等时，too to句型表示肯定意义。

例如:

One is never too old to learn

活到老，学到老。

二、如果在tooto结构的前面出现了only，不仅免去了其否定意义，反而加强了它的肯定语气，only too相当于very或very much。例如： 

I shall be only too pleased to get home

我将极高兴地回家。

三、too后为表示情感的形容词，如：glad、pleased、happy、sad等时，表示的是肯定意义。例如: 

He is too sad to hear the bad news

听到不幸的消息他太悲伤了。
