(1)、intend的基本含义是“意欲,打算”,指把注意力集中在某一确定要完成的事或达到的明确目的上,也可表示一心想要某人或某事服务于或达到某一目的。
(2)、intend多用作及物动词。其后可接名词、动名词、动词不定式或由that引导的从句作宾,也可接由“to be/as+ n ”或动词不定式充当补足语的复合宾语。有时还可以接双宾语,其间接宾语可转化为介词for的宾语。可用于被动结构。
(3)、intend后接动词不定式或动名词在意思上没有明显差别,只是动词不定式比动名词常见些。
(4)、intend用于过去时或过去完成时时,后接动词不定式表示以前有所计划,但未能实现。
(5)、intend后接的that从句中,谓语动词须用虚拟语气。
(6)、intend后面多接不定式,而少用动名词,如I intend to go的格式比较常见。
(7)、当intend后面有宾语时,也多用不定式。
(8)、当表达“打算的事未实现”的意思时,不用虚拟语气,而仅需体现“打算”这个动作较早。
