情感是人对客观事物的一种态度,是人对客观事物是否符合主观需要的内心体验,反映着客观事物与人的需要之间的关系,是人的一种特有的,高级的需要,对于学生的学习,尤其是英语学习,具有极为重要的意义。这是因为情感是学生智力及非智力发展的原动力。有一定的情感体验和情感要求,才会有相应的智力及非智力活动,学生只有对学知识产生情感,才会以极大的热情投身学习。因此,英语教学必须重视情感因素,在教学活动中充分开发利用情感因素。
1激发情感,以情激情
心理学研究表明,情感包括爱好、快乐、嫌恶、愤怒、恐惧和悲哀六种基本情绪,有激情、心境、热情三种方式,英语教学过程中,教师要努力促使学生实现良好的情感体验,使之有利于英语教学。
