chips到底是薯片还是薯条

大家有没有这样的困惑：有人说chips是薯条，有人说chips是薯片，这到底是为什么呢？到底哪个对呢？

其实是因为chips在英式英语中是薯条的意思，而chips在美式英语中是薯片哟~
